Who this demo is for

  • You are an eCommerce merchant doing your own pick, pack and ship. Not outsourcing it.
  • You sell on a real platform: Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, or a mix, and often marketplaces on top.
  • You ship somewhere between 50 and 20,000 orders a day.
  • You have outgrown something: a rigid SaaS tool that cannot model your second warehouse, or a spreadsheet that is now load-bearing infrastructure.
  • You have at least one workflow that every vendor so far has told you is "not how the system works."

Who this demo is not for

We will tell you on the call, and we would rather tell you here. Deflecting a bad-fit booking is worth more to both of us than the booking.

  • 3PLs and fulfillment providers shipping other companies' goods. SkuNexus is not built for 3PL.
  • Manufacturers who need MRP, BOMs, or work-in-progress tracking. That is an ERP or MRP problem, not ours.
  • Contractors and field-service teams allocating material to jobs and cost codes. No eCommerce, no fulfillment.
  • IT asset check-in and check-out. Wrong platform.
  • Embedding an inventory engine inside your own multi-tenant SaaS, or reselling the platform.
  • Pure channel listing and catalog creation. We are not a channel-management tool.
  • Own-truck local delivery with proof-of-delivery signatures, rather than parcel pick, pack and ship.

If you are in one of those groups, book anyway if you want a second opinion, but expect us to say so early.

What happens in the 30 minutes

  • Minutes 0 to 5. You talk. What is breaking, what triggered the search, what you have already tried and rejected. We do not screen-share yet.
  • Minutes 5 to 10. Your order flow on screen. We open an order that looks like yours and follow it from intake to label.
  • Minutes 10 to 18. The rule you came for. Routing, allocation, kitting, dropship, backorder, whichever one your current tool cannot express. We build or modify it live.
  • Minutes 18 to 24. The warehouse side. Pick path, scan verification, bin locations, counts, receiving, whichever applies to you.
  • Minutes 24 to 28. Your integrations. Which system is the source of truth for products, inventory, orders and money, and what has to sync which way.
  • Minutes 28 to 30. Honest fit call and next step. If it is not a fit, we say so here.

If the operation is complex, this runs long or runs twice. Sessions routinely go past an hour because the buyer keeps asking. That is a good sign, not a failure.

What to bring

  • A real order that broke. The messy one, not the clean one.
  • A SKU export, even a partial one. We can load it on the call.
  • The list of systems that have to keep working: eCommerce platform, accounting, carriers, marketplaces, any ERP or DMS you cannot replace.
  • The one workflow you have been told is impossible.
  • Whoever will actually run it. An ops lead beats an executive sponsor for this call.

Questions buyers ask before they book

Can we get a trial or a sandbox and test it ourselves?

No, and here is the honest reason. The demos are guided because the platform is configured to your workflow, not shipped as a fixed product. Handed a blank instance, you would spend the trial hunting for features that exist but are not set up for your process yet, and conclude wrongly that it cannot do them. Once you are a customer, every account comes with three environments, development, stage and production, so your team can experiment without touching live inventory.

How long does implementation take?

We scope it on the call rather than publish a number, because the honest answer depends on how many channels, warehouses and non-standard rules you are bringing. Getting your instance stood up is fast. What varies is the business analysis and the customizations. We usually propose an MVP: get you live on the core flow first, then stage the rest, using the three environments so you control what rolls out when.

Do you have reference customers we can talk to, in a business like ours?

Yes, and we set them up individually rather than listing them. We ask an account manager to check which customer is willing to take the call, and we match on the thing you actually care about: same eCommerce platform, same multi-warehouse shape, same category. Some references end up as email threads rather than calls, usually a timezone problem.

Will it work with the stack we already have, and which system stays the source of truth?

That question gets answered on the demo, out loud, system by system. The common shape: your eCommerce platform keeps the storefront, your accounting system keeps the money, and SkuNexus becomes the source of truth for inventory quantity and location and for the fulfillment decision. What syncs which way is a configuration decision, and we make it with you rather than for you.

Who actually configures it, us or you?

Either, and that is the point. It is your own single-tenant installation and you get the source code, so your developers can extend it, or ours can, or both. Most customers start with our team doing the configuration during onboarding and take over the parts they care about later. If you have no developers, that is fine. If you have good ones, you are not locked out.

Do you have an API and developer docs we can read before we commit?

Yes. API and webhook reference material is available to review outside the call, and buyers routinely ask for it at the browsing stage rather than the buying stage.

What happens if we customize and then you ship an update?

Ask this on the call and get a specific answer for the customization you have in mind. It is a real question and it gets asked late, which makes it a decision blocker rather than curiosity. We will not answer it generically here.

What does it cost?

Not answered on this page. Bring your volumes, channels, warehouses and the customizations you need to the call and you will get a number that matches the scope. A number quoted before the scope is a number that changes later.

Tell us what is breaking and we will build it on screen. If we are the wrong fit, we will say so on the call.
